Ryanair free baggage size

easyJet 45×36×20 40×30×20 CM · FREE

40 × 30 × 20 cm

15.7 × 11.8 × 7.9 in · No weight stated

Small personal bag, under the seat. Ryanair's bag policy page doesn't give a weight limit for the small bag.

Every Ryanair fare includes one small personal bag that must fit under the seat in front. Ryanair's bag policy page gives the size as 40 × 30 × 20 cm. Ryanair introduced the bigger size at airport sizers from 4 September 2025, calling it "33% bigger" than the EU standard of 40 × 30 × 15 cm.

Watch out: Ryanair's own pages don't all agree. At least one fare-bundle page still shows 40 × 20 × 30 cm, and older guides (including our early notes) quote 40 × 20 × 25 cm. The help-centre bag policy and the September 2025 announcement both say 40 × 30 × 20 cm. Check your booking confirmation before you fly.
